The British Transatlantic Polytechnic, Akure is pleased to announce the award of the Community Development scholarship award to indigenes of Uso community.
The scholarship is set up to train and mentor students with the potential to make an impact in local and international community as global leaders. Successful students will be specially trained to global standards.
This is a non-means tested scholarship covering 100% tuition free.
In a letter addressed to the King of Uso, His Royal Highness, Oloba of Uso, in Ondo State, Nigeria and signed by Polytechnic registrar, Julius Ayodele, the scholarship is targeted towards the development of native Uso indigenes with very poor background, who could not have had the opportunities to tertiary education due to financial problems.
Under this scheme, the community through their head will nominate the awardees and introduce them to the polytechnic through a nomination letter addressed to the Registrar. This scholarship is not based on prior academic performance of candidates. However, candidates will need to meet the eligibility criteria set by JAMB. Awardees can choose any of the courses that we offer.
