The British Transatlantic Polytechnic has suspended six students for missing classes two consecutive times without any justifiable reasons.
The suspension letter signed by the Polytechnic Registrar, Julius Ayodele reads:
‘You have been directed to proceed on one week suspension from the polytechnic. The suspension is due to your consistent absences from classes including today 15th July 2024’.
The students were also warned that any further absence in the semester may lead to their permanent withdrawal from the polytechnic.
The letter which was copied to their parents also reads: ‘Please take notice that any further absence from classes without prior notice and genuine reasons that fall under our extenuating circumstances, may result into your permanent withdrawer from the polytechnic’
The students were reminded of the polytechnic’s zero tolerance to truancy and poor academic behaviours that may have direct impact on their studies.
